How Initial Data Sync Works
1. Automatic Download Begins
When you log in on a new device, a Preparing your store... screen opens with a progress bar.
BitMed downloads your medicine catalog, stock batches, and store settings directly into your browser's local storage (SQLite DB).
2. Keep the Browser Tab Active
While the initial sync runs, keep your browser window open and visible.
Important Tip: Avoid minimizing the browser window or switching tabs during the initial sync, as modern web browsers pause background downloads when hidden.
3. Sync Complete — Ready to Bill!
Once the download reaches 100%, BitMed opens the Billing screen automatically.

What should I do if the sync progress pauses? Make sure your browser window is active and brought to the front. If your internet disconnected briefly, simply refresh the browser page (F5) to resume the download.
