5 Main Regions of the App
1. Left Navigation Menu
Access all main areas of your pharmacy from the left sidebar:
- Dashboard: Overview of daily sales, low stock alerts, and quick metrics.
- Billing: Your main POS counter screen for fast keyboard billing.
- Sales History: Search past invoices, process returns, or reprint receipts.
- Inventory: Monitor medicine stock levels, batch exspiries, and rack locations.
- Purchases & Suppliers: Enter purchase orders (PO) and goods receipt notes (GRN).
- Products: Manage your product catalog, prices, and bulk imports.
- Customers: Manage customer profiles, loyalty types, and credit balances (Khata).
- Reports: Generate GST returns (GSTR-1), Schedule H1 registers, and sales analytics.
- Settings: Configure store profiles, tax rules, printers, and staff permissions.
2. Top Bar & Header
Displays your store name, active counter/terminal ID, signed-in staff profile, and quick actions.
3. Connection & Sync Indicator
Shows your connection status at a glance:
- Green (Online): Connected to cloud servers; real-time multi-counter sync active.
- Orange (Offline): Internet is disconnected; billing continues normally locally.
- Blue (Syncing): Uploading offline bills and downloading stock updates.
4. Main Work Area
The active screen content. On the Billing screen, this contains the product search bar, item billing table, and live summary totals panel.
5. Keyboard-First Controls
BitMed is built for 100% mouse-free billing using function keys:
- F1: Search
- F2: New Bill
- F3: Customer Panel
- F4: Hold Bill
- F5: Recall Bill
- F6: Reprint Last Bill
- F7: Payment
- F8: Substitutes
- F9: Batch Selection Picker
- F10: Express Pay & Print
