When to use this: Use a Rate Contract to save an agreed purchase rate for a medicine and supplier.
Create a rate contract

Open Purchases → Rate Contracts and click New Rate Contract.

Select the supplier and medicine.

Enter the Locked Rate, Valid From, and Valid To dates.

You can also add a minimum quantity, include a purchase scheme, and add notes.

Choose the alert type:
- Warning Only: BitMed flags a different rate but allows the purchase.
- Block Purchase: BitMed stops the purchase when the rate is above the agreed rate.

Click Create Contract.
How BitMed uses the contract
The active contract is used in purchase orders and GRNs for the selected supplier and medicine. BitMed shows the agreed rate and checks the rate entered during receiving.
You can open a contract to edit it or suspend it. Suspended and expired contracts are not used.
