When to use this: giving groups of customers (Senior Citizen, Wholesale, Staff…) a standing discount that applies itself.
Steps

Settings → Customer Types — create a type with a name and default discount %.

Assign the type on a customer's profile (edit → type).

See it work — link that customer on a bill: the discount applies automatically (→ BILL-04).
