When to use this: something broke, a strip got damaged, or the count is just a little off — one product, one batch, one quick fix.
Steps
-
Open the product. Go to Inventory → Stock Overview and click the product. In the batch panel on the right, find the batch and tap Adjust stock (the sliders icon). This needs an internet connection, so the button is greyed out when you're offline.
-
Enter what you counted. In the Stock Adjustment box, type the Physical Count — the number you actually counted on the shelf, not the difference. BitMed works out the Variance for you (how much it's changed) as you type. Then pick a Reason — Physical Count, Damage / Breakage, Theft / Pilferage, Sample / Free Distribution, Expiry Removal, or Other — and add a note if you like. The count and the reason are both required.
-
Tap Adjust. The stock updates straight away, and it's saved to Reports → Audit Trail , with your name and reason.
Good to know
- Got lots to correct? A stock audit is easier (→ INV-04) — it's built for counting many items at once.
- If stock keeps going missing for no clear reason, that's a sign to audit more often, not to keep adjusting.
