Racks: master & layout

When to use this: mapping out your shelves so anyone can see where a product lives — the quickest way to get new staff up to speed.

Steps

  1. Set up your racks. Go to Inventory → Rack Layout → Manage Racks to open the Rack Master. Tap Add Rack and give it a Rack Name (like Rack A, Counter or Fridge). You can also add a Zone (like Cold Storage or Front Counter) and a Shelf (like Shelf 1, Top or Bottom) — both are optional. Deleting a rack simply moves its products back to unassigned. Already set racks up in another store? Copy from store… brings them over (and their product assignments too, if you want).

  2. Put products on shelves. In the Rack & Shelf Layout view, open a product and tap Assign Rack Location to choose its rack (or Remove Location to clear it). The layout shows how many products sit in each rack.

  3. Once a rack is assigned, its location appears in the Rack column of the Products list, helping staff quickly locate the product.
