When to use this: you run more than one store and one has spare stock the other needs. The Stock Transfers tab needs the stock transfer permission (it's hidden without it) and an internet connection.
Sending store
-
Create the transfer. Go to Inventory → Stock Transfers → New Transfer. Choose the Destination Store, search your own stock, add the products and quantities, add a note if you like, and create it. It starts out as Requested.
-
Approve, then dispatch. Tap Approve, then Mark Dispatched — dispatching is the moment the stock leaves your store and the transfer becomes In Transit. Changed your mind? Either step can be Cancelled, which puts the stock back.
Receiving store
-
Switch to the other store (→ SET-03), open Stock Transfers → Incoming, and open the transfer that's In Transit.
-
Receive it. Check the quantities and confirm. If some items are short, that's fine — you can receive part of it, and each line keeps track of received / requested. The stock then lands in this store.
Good to know
- A transfer moves along like this: Requested → Approved → In Transit → Received (or Cancelled), and both stores can follow it. The batch details (expiry, MRP) travel along with the stock.
- Use the All / Outgoing / Incoming tabs and the status filter to find any transfer quickly.
