Dashboard & Financial reports

On this page

When to use this: Checking the owner's daily or weekly read on how the pharmacy business is doing.

Steps

  1. Dashboard — click Dashboard in the left menu (this is a separate screen from Reports) for an at-a-glance view of today's sales, bills, and alerts.

  2. Open Reports → Financial. Click Reports in the left menu, then click Financial from the list of reports.

  3. Pick the period. Click the From / To date buttons at the top right. This date range applies to every tab below. Click Refresh to reload the tab you're viewing.

  4. Read the four tabs.

    • Profit & Loss — revenue, cost of goods sold, gross profit and margin, plus a bad-debt (customer credit written off) line, for the period. A note above the numbers states the tax basis they're calculated on.

    • Purchases — total purchase amount, input tax, GRN count, and a supplier-wise breakdown.

    • Receivables — money customers owe you, one row per customer, with the oldest unpaid bill's date.

    • Payables — money you owe suppliers, one row per supplier, with the oldest unpaid invoice's date.

  5. Export. Each tab has its own Export CSV and Export PDF buttons at the top of that tab — they export only what that tab is showing.

  6. What to watch weekly — net sales trend, margin %, how much discount you're giving away, your return rate, and credit given vs. collected (→ CUST-03).

Common problems

  • A number looks wrong — check the date range at the top right; every tab uses the same range.
  • Export button greyed out — that tab has nothing to export yet (no data loaded, or an empty result for the period).
